Lovely cafe with warm service and great coffee and tasty food. Went for a quick cuppa for Mother’s Day and they were super friendly, misheard my mum’s order and switched things around quickly. The building is pretty old but lovingly restored - it doesn’t seem to work with the neon lightings etc though so ambiance and decor felt a bit weird. But that didn’t make a real difference. We’ve been to a bunch of other cafes on the Maling Road strip and this one has been the best by far. Really recommend!

Welcoming staff Beautiful interior design. They really need to change their outdoor furniture though. Coffee was amazing. Food quality was great. Grilled halloumi dish was superb!

Beautiful artwork and lead light windows create an elegant atmosphere in this converted post office Cafe. Everything on the big breakfast plate was delicious. Their coffee was pretty good too. Sitting in a corner area it's a nice way to enjoy the view of Maling Road

Excellent cafe in Canterbury where the mailing room used to be. Friendly, attentive service and a light, pleasant atmosphere. Food and coffee were both good and the menu had plenty of gluten free options. There is also a nice little function room upstairs. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, best to use one of the small off-street parking lots on the side-streets of Maling Road.

Welcome to the new kid on the block Extracted! What a beautiful building they have restored. Amazing atmosphere inside especially when the sun is glistening through those stained windows Couldn't fault the food, plenty of choice and service was terrific. Overall a great breakfast/lunch catch-up spot on Maling Road. Looking forward to heading back soon.

Eggs on toast for $12 were excellent. Flat white coffee was 4/5. No credit card surcharges here Second visit: coffee was 5/5 and nice sitting area

Had the pleasure of visiting Extracted at Maling Rd; what a beautiful way to bring the good ol’ post office back to life. The color pattern that was used (a brilliant, clean, sharp white and a bold, elegant navy blue) gives the place a welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted at the door by a nice, friendly girl who promptly guided us to our table. It’s important to mention that they roast their own coffee there and boy, what a great coffee they are serving! Humble, nicely presented, unpretentious scrambled eggs on toast with an addition of bacon (could’ve been a bit more generous here) and halloumi was my breakfast. Great service, respectful staff, will definitely come back again! I’m seriously tempted to make it my local! It’s great to see this amazing place running again! Only thing I would suggest; a bit of ambience music would’ve been good.

This place was recommended by my girlfriend. Went with a few friends. Gorgeous place. Very nice inside. The staff are so amazing The food is delicious and so well presented Coffee is great and we also enjoyed the wine. Will be going back Highly recommended
